Amulets and Armor

Amulets and Armor is a first-person RPG that was released in 1997 and failed to gain recognition, competing against contemporary titles such as The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall (1996), Final Fantasy VII (1997), Diablo (1996), Fallout (1997) and Realms of Arkania: Shadows over Riva (1996). The game was abandoned for years after its release, until its original developers regained the rights in 2013 and re-distributed it for free.

Simple installation and setup

Thanks to the constant support efforts of its developers, Amulets and Armor works correctly on modern computers with Windows 10 or Windows 11. All you have to do is run the installer, choose a folder and wait for the installation to finish. Sometimes the final installation step can take several minutes, but this doesn't mean that has been an error. This last part of the installation can simply take a long time. Once it has finished installing, simply double-click on the executable to start playing.

Create your character and start your own adventure

The first thing you can do before starting the game is create your character. At your disposal are several different classes, each with its own skills or spells, as well as different stats. You can be a Citizen, Knight, Paladin, Rogue, Mercenary, Sailor, Mage, Priest, Magician, Warlock or Archer. Each class has its own pros and cons, so this first crucial decision will largely determine how you approach the whole adventure.

A vast world full of dangers

Amulets and Armor is a large, open RPG where you can explore tons of different settings. You'll start the game in a wooded area, face to face with elven archers trying to kill you. As you progress through the story, however, you'll discover loads of new areas, ranging from dungeons to cities. And, of course, you'll be able to take on a range of enemies: skeletons, necromancers, knights, thieves, and many more.
